| We did make some mistakes and I genuinely deeply regret that. After seeing the posts, my intention was to call the customer and apologize and also see what we could do to make it right. My first reaction is to do what it takes to “fix it” and then dive in find the root of the problem and make sure steps are being taken to prevent it. After realizing that the customer was avoiding our calls while still taking the time to respond to posts I got "personally offended". However that is par for the course with many of the Z1 bashing keyboard warriors on TT.net. He found a great support group here far away from the reality of the real world that we at Z1 successfully operate in. I consider any mistakes unacceptable. These things personally torment me. Anyone who works at Z1 can tell you that I am a perfectionist and that my expectations on customer service and order accuracy are considered unreasonable by anyone that actually has to try and achieve them on a daily basis. It's exponentially more complicated and challenging to be "perfect" in our highly specialized business dealing with tens of thousands of parts, when you have 25 employees doing a wide variety of different tasks as opposed to 1 or 2 guys handling everything. Unless you've done it - it's actually impossible to completely understand. The reason we need 25 employees is because our volume of orders had grown to demand it. We can't properly take care of our customers without the larger staff. If we could pull it off with a couple folks we would! We didn't grow from me selling some spare parts out of my dorm room to the largest Z32 specialized business in the world by accident. We offer products people want and we take care of our customers. While so many other vendors come and go, disappear with folks money regularly, we are here - consistent and financially stable backed up by the most massive inventory of Z32 parts on Earth. The result has been steady growth for the last 12 years we've been doing this. No one else has been able (or forced out of shear necessity) to grow to our size and manage to stay as specialized in the Z parts world. With that growth comes continuous challenges to adapt our infrastructure and procedures to manage it. We pour enormous resources into this - it actually blows most folks minds when they realize what all goes on behind the scenes towards continuous improvement. Specifically we have been working on new systems for over a year now that we will be able to implement in the next couple months, this will undoubtedly help us improve our accuracy and fulfillment times for the foreseeable future. We also much more diverse than our competition, which produces even more unique challenges. Our huge inventory and diverse parts distribution capabilities including new OE, used OE, aftermarket, and our own product line is a given. We employee two full time mechanical engineers that spend every day developing and testing products. We install what we sell in our shop with two experienced techs and more Zs roll on and off our dyno than any other. We also actively put our products to test on the track and even have the beginnings of a successful racing program. We put more into sponsoring and putting on Z events than all the other vendors in the Z community combined, which consumes huge amounts of resources and enormous additional commitment from our staff. Our primary business is still Z32 parts and it will continue to be. We will continue to support the car with a massive existing inventory, develop new solutions as Nissan discontinues parts, and help raise the bar as performance needs evolve. We will be here doing this long after most of you have moved on. We do appreciate the opportunity to serve the Z community and value every customer. We are still a passionate group of enthusiasts and we do our best to keep our customers happy every day.
